What is
House Ah Lu
Fashion as movement. Identity as performance. Community as foundation.

House Ah Lu is built around the idea that fashion is not just something you look at. It's something you step into. The brand grows from a background in movement and performance, drawn to spaces where identity, style, and presence exist at the same time.
The name is influenced by the house system that emerged in the 1970s within ballroom culture: chosen families led by mothers and fathers who created structure, support, and belonging for people marginalized because of gender, sexuality, or race. Houses competed through runway, voguing, and performance, using fashion and movement to represent who they were.
“Lulu” is a family nickname, so the name connects that history to something personal. House Ah Lu reflects building your own house while still being shaped by where you come from.
House Ah Lu produces live fashion events combining runway, dance, music, and nightlife in one environment. Shows take place in clubs and unconventional venues where the audience shares the same space as the performers. At its core, it's about creating a house of our own: a space for performance, fashion, and community to exist together.
